Inconel 625 718 800h/330 Monel400/K500 Hastelloy C276 Nickle Alloy Steel Plate Nickel Alloy Monel 400 Plate Sheet

1. What are the main differences among Inconel, Monel, and Hastelloy plates?

Inconel (625, 718, 800H/330): Nickel-chromium alloys designed for high strength, oxidation, and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures.

Monel (400, K500): Nickel-copper alloys known for exceptional resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and alkaline environments. K500 adds aluminum and titanium for higher strength.

Hastelloy C276: Nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with outstanding resistance to strong oxidizers, reducing agents, and aggressive chemicals like hydrochloric and sulfuric acids.

2. What are the typical applications of these nickel alloy plates and sheets?

Inconel: Gas turbines, aerospace, heat exchangers, petrochemical processing.

Monel 400/K500: Marine engineering, pumps, valves, and seawater systems.

Hastelloy C276: Chemical processing equipment, pollution control, pharmaceutical and paper industries.

3. How do these alloys perform in high-temperature environments?

Inconel 625/718/800H/330: Excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance, suitable up to ~1100–1200 °C depending on grade.

Monel 400/K500: Not designed for very high temperatures; best below 550 °C.

Hastelloy C276: Maintains corrosion resistance and mechanical properties up to ~1040 °C, but primary advantage is chemical resistance rather than ultra-high heat.

4. What forms and thickness ranges are available for nickel alloy plates and sheets?

These alloys are available in cold-rolled sheets and hot-rolled plates, typically ranging from 0.5 mm sheets up to 100 mm plates. Custom sizes, surface finishes (2B, BA, No.1), and cut-to-size services are also available depending on customer requirements.

5. What standards and certifications do these plates meet?

Standards: ASTM (e.g., B127 for Monel 400, B168 for Inconel 600/625/800, B463 for Hastelloy C276).

Certifications: EN 10204 3.1/3.2 inspection certificates, ultrasonic testing (UT), chemical composition analysis, mechanical testing, and third-party inspection (TÜV, SGS, BV) can be provided to ensure compliance.
