Inconel 617 Round Bars Successfully Shipped To Poland

A batch of Inconel 617 nickel-based superalloy round bars has been successfully shipped to our customer in Poland after completing all required quality inspection procedures. This order includes 50 pieces of Inconel 617 round bars, each measuring 8 mm in diameter and 1,000 mm in length. All materials are manufactured in strict accordance with international standards, with every performance indicator meeting the customer's technical requirements.

GNEE STEEL's quality management team maintains end-to-end control throughout the entire process, from production scheduling to final delivery. We have established a comprehensive quality assurance system covering pre-shipment, in-transit, and post-delivery stages to ensure stable and reliable quality for export products, delivering qualified materials to customers worldwide.

Pre-Shipment: Rigorous Multi-Stage Inspections

Pre-shipment inspection represents the core of export quality control. For Inconel 617, GNEE STEEL's QC team has developed five specialized inspection categories tailored to the alloy's unique properties, comprehensively verifying material compliance before release.

PMI (Positive Material Identification) Testing

We use high-precision X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) analyzers to inspect every single bar individually. This test accurately measures key alloying elements including nickel, chromium, cobalt, molybdenum, and aluminum, confirming the material grade is definitively Inconel 617 (UNS N06617) and eliminating any risk of material mix-up. Surface oxide scale is removed by grinding prior to testing to ensure accurate readings, with all results cross-referenced against mill test certificates.

Dimensional Inspection

Using calibrated micrometers and vernier calipers, our inspectors take multiple diameter and length measurements on every bar. Diameter is measured in both radial directions at three cross-sections (head, middle, tail) to strictly control dimensional tolerances within standard ranges. We also inspect bar straightness and end face perpendicularity to ensure dimensional accuracy fully conforms to customer drawings and specifications.

Mechanical Properties Verification

We verify mechanical properties against mill test certificates. This batch exhibits a tensile strength of 780 MPa, yield strength of 465 MPa, and elongation of 41%, fully meeting the mechanical property requirements specified in the ASTM B166 standard for Inconel 617 alloy, making it suitable for structural applications in high-temperature service environments.

Surface Quality Inspection

QC personnel conduct full visual surface inspection on every bar individually, checking for defects such as cracks, laps, scabs, and scratches, ensuring a clean surface free of performance-impairing imperfections. For critical applications, we additionally perform Penetrant Testing (PT) to confirm no hidden micro-cracks exist on the material surface.

Marking and Traceability Verification

We confirm that heat numbers, batch numbers, and specification markings on each bar are clear and complete, ensuring product markings correspond one-to-one with Mill Test Certificates (MTC). Each bar supports full production traceability, allowing customers to query complete production and inspection records.

Only after all inspection items are qualified does the QC team issue formal mill test certificates, and only then do products enter the packaging and shipping phase.

In-Transit: Professional Packaging Ensures Delivery Safety

For shipping, we adopt export-grade professional packaging solutions: bars are coated with anti-rust oil, sealed with waterproof and anti-corrosion plastic film, then packed in solid wooden cases compliant with ISPM-15 international phytosanitary standards. Cushioning materials fill empty space inside cases to prevent collision damage during transport.

The exterior of each wooden case is clearly marked with product information, moisture-proof and collision-proof labels, and destination details to ensure products remain intact through long-distance ocean and land transportation. During packing, staff verify product quantity and specifications item by item, confirming packing lists match physical goods before sealing, while preparing all required export customs documentation for smooth clearance.

Post-Delivery: Full-Tracking Support Services

After shipment, GNEE STEEL's sales team continuously tracks logistics status and provides customers with timely delivery updates. Upon arrival, we proactively follow up on customer receipt and inspection, supplying full sets of technical documentation including mill test certificates and inspection reports.

GNEE STEEL consistently adheres to strict quality control standards, establishing a comprehensive quality system covering all stages from raw material incoming inspection to finished product delivery. Our products are exported to numerous countries and regions worldwide, earning widespread recognition from overseas customers.
