253MA (also called 1.4835, heat-resistant steel 253MA, S30815) is an economical heat-resistant austenitic stainless steel designed for applications in environments that require high creep strength and good corrosion resistance. This material is obtained by increasing the nitrogen content and adding rare earth elements for micro-alloying on the basis of alloy 1.4828. It has good oxidation resistance, good high-temperature corrosion resistance, and good high-temperature mechanical strength.
