Hot-rolled Inconel Alloy 625 Plate

Introduction to Hot-rolled Inconel Alloy 625 Plate
Hot-rolled Inconel alloy 625 plate is a high-temperature alloy known for its high strength, excellent corrosion resistance in harsh environments, and good fabrication properties. It can be used in temperatures ranging from cryogenic to high temperatures up to 2000°F. Primarily composed of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and niobium, the alloy excels in applications such as offshore components, heat exchangers, and gas turbines. The hot-rolling process strengthens the nickel-chromium matrix through a solution process, resulting in high tensile and creep-rupture strength.
Can Inconel 625 be heat treated?
This process helps dissolve any carbides or other precipitates in the material, making it more uniform. Solution treating Inconel 625 typically involves heating it to 1050°C to 1100°C, followed by a rapid quench to prevent the formation of unwanted residues.
