300 Series 309S 310S Stainless Steel sheet

309S and 310S are heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant high-nickel and chromium stainless steels. They are widely used in ovens, thermal equipment, boilers, petrochemicals, and some special parts.

From the chemical composition point of view, the alloy content of 310 is higher than that of 309, especially the content of nickel and chromium is higher.

Due to differences in important alloying elements, 310 stainless steel can withstand higher temperatures than 309 stainless steel. Usually 310 can withstand 1000 to 1200℃, but the maximum heat resistance temperature of 309 is 1000℃. This does not mean that 309 is inferior to 310. In fact, 309 is more used in flanges, pipelines, and petrochemicals because its alloy level is basically the same as 310, but it is more economical than 310.

Usually 309S and 310S stainless steel are usually processed in the form of sheets, plates, rods and tubes. 310S is more likely to be produced in bar, wire, and hot-rolled plate, while 309S is more widely used in pipe, flange, and plate.
