High-quality 201 stainless steel plate is one of the common stainless steel materials. 201 stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel.
Unlike 304, it has less nickel content and is not as corrosion-resistant as 304. It can be heat treated but can be cold-worked to high tensile strength. Grade 201 is inherently non-magnetic in the annealed condition and becomes magnetic when cold worked. Class 201 can replace Class 301 and 304 in many applications.
