Duplex 2507 (UNS S32750) is a super duplex stainless steel containing 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum and 7% nickel, designed for demanding applications requiring excellent strength and corrosion resistance, such as chemical processes, Petrochemical and seawater equipment.

Duplex stainless steel, also known as austenitic-ferritic stainless steel, is a series of grades in which the proportions of austenite and ferrite are approximately equal.

These steels have a dual-phase microstructure, which contributes to their high strength and high resistance to stress corrosion cracking.

Duplex steels have high resistance to both uniform and localized corrosion due to their high content of nitrogen, chromium and molybdenum. Duplex stainless steel has good weldability.

Duplex stainless steels are divided into three groups, including:

• Lean duplex
• Standard duplex
• Super duplex.

Alloy 2507 (UNS S32750) is a super duplex stainless steel containing 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum and 7% nickel, designed for demanding applications requiring excellent strength and corrosion resistance, such as chemical processing, petrochemical and seawater equipment. The steel has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, high thermal conductivity and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. High chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content provide excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and general corrosion.
