Alloy 20, also known as Carpenter 20, is a nickel-iron-chromium austenitic alloy developed to provide maximum resistance to corrosion by acids, especially sulfuric acid. The alloy has excellent resistance to general corrosion, pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion against chemicals containing chloride and sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid and other chemicals. It also contains niobium, which is effective against parasensitization and synthetic intergranular corrosion. Carpenter20 combines good corrosion resistance with mechanical properties and is relatively easy to manufacture. Although originally designed for use in sulfuric acid-related industries, Alloy 20 is now widely used in various industries, including the chemical, food, pharmaceutical and plastics industries. In addition, the alloy is used in heat exchangers, mixing tanks, metal cleaning and pickling equipment and pipes.
S32760 (F55, 1.4501) is a high-alloy super duplex stainless steel, mainly used in various highly corrosive environments. It has strong resistance to chloride corrosion, high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion coefficient.
