Super duplex steel alloy UNS S32760 (F55/1.4501) has a PREN value of 40< (pitting corrosion resistance equivalent value) and has excellent resistance to high temperature pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater. Excellent resistance to stress cracking corrosion in acidic and chlorine environments.
UNS S32760 (F55) is harder than austenitic stainless steel and duplex stainless steel containing 22% chromium, and is suitable for use in a variety of industries, such as oil and gas, chemical processing industries and marine environments.
UNS S32760 (F55/1.4501) is listed as NACE (American Society of Corrosion Engineers) Standard Certified MR 01 75 for materials in sour environments and is ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) certified for pressure vessels.
