A: GH3030 is a nickel-based alloy, meaning it is "stickier" and work-hardens faster than stainless steel. We recommend using carbide tools with positive rake angles and maintaining a constant feed rate to prevent surface glazing.
Q2: What is the benefit of a "Peeled" surface over a "Black" surface?
A: The peeled (turned) surface removes the oxidation layer and surface decarburization from forging/rolling. It allows for immediate precision machining and reveals any surface defects before you begin your processing.
