Information on the properties, applications, and benefits of Inconel 718 welding wire
Inconel 718 (IN-718) welding wire offers exceptional strength, high-temperature performance, and good corrosion resistance, making it an ideal choice for demanding applications such as aerospace, power generation, and oil and gas. Its excellent age-hardening properties result in high tensile and creep-rupture strength at elevated temperatures, while its excellent weldability and resistance to stress corrosion cracking make it a versatile choice for engineering applications in extreme conditions.

At what temperature does Inconel 718 alloy oxidize?
1223K to 1573K
Inconel 718 exhibits a parabolic, diffusion-controlled oxidation rate over a wide temperature range of 1223K to 1573K in atmospheric air, lasting for weeks. Above 1573K, oxidation becomes catastrophic, causing severe deformation.
