High temperature strength: 740H alloy has excellent high temperature strength at temperatures below 850°C after age hardening. This allows it to maintain structural integrity and performance in high temperature environments. Corrosion Resistance: Containing high levels of chromium and cobalt, 740H exhibits excellent resistance to oxidation, carbonization and sulfurization at high temperatures. These properties make it potentially useful in corrosive environments, such as certain chemical processes and energy production. Thermal Stability: Due to its gamma-duplex structure, 740H has good thermal stability, which means it is able to maintain its mechanical properties under prolonged exposure to high temperatures.

High cost: As a special superalloy, the production cost of 740H is relatively high, which may limit its widespread application.
