Monel 400 standards include AMS 4574, AMS 4675, AMS 4731, ASTM B163, ASTM B165, ASTM F96, and UNS N04400. Due to work hardening during machining, machinability of Monel 400 can be challenging. However, conventional machining methods work well for the ferrous alloys used in this alloy.
