What is the composition of GH3030?
GH3030 alloy is primarily composed of nickel (approximately 55%), chromium (approximately 19%), and iron (approximately 18%), with smaller amounts of other elements such as cobalt, molybdenum, and aluminum.
ASTM B829 bright annealed seamless tubing made from GH3030 nickel alloy is a high-temperature, high-strength, corrosion-resistant component suitable for demanding industrial applications such as aerospace, gas turbines, and chemical processing. ASTM B829 specifies general requirements for nickel and nickel alloy seamless tubing, and GH3030 alloy exhibits excellent hot strength, oxidation resistance, and creep resistance up to approximately 800°C. The "bright annealed" surface treatment, performed in a controlled atmosphere, produces a clean, oxidation-free surface for enhanced corrosion resistance and sealing properties.
