Monel Ship 400 Metal Alloy Plate
Monel 400 plates are a corrosion resistant material with an extremely high melting point. Hence, these plates are suitable for high temperature and highly corrosive applications. Monel 400 plates are used for feedwater and steam generator piping, refinery crude tower cladding, propeller shafts and pump shafts, heat exchangers, brine heaters, sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid alkylation units, and other highly corrosive and high temperature applications. The composition of ASTM B127 UNS N04400 includes 63% nickel and 28% copper, making it resistant to strong acids such as sulfuric acid. UNS N04400 plates have a high melting point of 1350 degrees Celsius, making them suitable for steam and heating elements.
