Composition and properties
Hastelloy C276: This is a high-performance nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with high molybdenum, chromium and tungsten contents, which makes it perform well in a variety of corrosive environments. C276 is particularly suitable for high temperature, inorganic and organic acids mixed with impurities, and seawater corrosive environments.
Hastelloy C2000: This alloy contains a high copper content (1.6% copper), which enhances its corrosion resistance to reducing environments, but reduces thermal stability and weldability.
Corrosion resistance
Hastelloy C276: It has excellent corrosion resistance and can withstand corrosive media such as wet chlorine, various oxidizing chlorides, chloride salt solutions, sulfuric acid and oxidizing salts. It has good corrosion resistance in both low and medium temperature hydrochloric acid and is one of the few materials that can resist corrosion from wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions.
Hastelloy C2000: It has excellent corrosion resistance and is particularly suitable for reducing environments such as sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid media.
Application fields
Hastelloy C276: Widely used in the chemical industry, oil and gas industry, pharmaceutical industry, marine engineering, aerospace and other fields. Commonly used in the manufacture of reactors, heat exchangers, pipelines, storage tanks, valves and other equipment to handle various corrosive media and high temperature and high pressure environments.
Hastelloy C2000: Mainly used in the chemical industry, marine, aviation, energy and other fields. In the chemical industry, it is often used to produce equipment for corrosive media such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and hydrochloric acid; in the marine field, it is used to manufacture seawater desalination equipment, offshore oil platforms, and submarine pipelines; in the aviation field, it is used to manufacture high temperature and high pressure engine parts; in the energy field, it is used to manufacture nuclear power equipment and fossil energy equipment.
