Difference between Inconel 600 strip and Inconel 601 strip
The main difference lies in the fact that Inconel 601, due to its higher chromium content and the addition of aluminum, exhibits superior oxidation resistance at high temperatures; while Inconel 600 is more suitable for applications requiring resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking in less oxidizing environments. Inconel 601 contains more chromium and a smaller amount of aluminum, while Inconel 600 has a higher nickel content.

What is the difference between Inconel 600 and Inconel 625?
Inconel 625 alloy has a higher chromium content than Inconel 600 alloy. Chromium content is the main factor determining the oxidation resistance of an alloy. Therefore, Inconel 625 has better oxidation resistance than Inconel 600.

What is Inconel 600 Strip?
Inconel 600 alloy strip is a standard engineering nickel alloy strip suitable for applications requiring corrosion and heat resistance.
This alloy strip also possesses excellent mechanical properties, combining high strength with good machinability.
Inconel 600 strip is cut from a master coil.
What is Inconel 601 Strip?
Inconel 601 alloy strip is a general-purpose engineering material suitable for applications requiring heat and corrosion resistance.
A notable feature of Inconel 601 alloy strip is its excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation.

Corrosion Resistance Comparison of Inconel 600 and 601
Chemical composition analysis shows that Inconel 601 steel strip has a lower nickel content than Inconel 600 steel strip. Conversely, Inconel 601 steel strip has a higher chromium content and also contains added aluminum.
Nickel is highly regarded for its ability to effectively improve the corrosion resistance of alloys. However, its corrosion resistance is limited in oxidizing environments.
Chromium is a powerful antioxidant. When exposed to oxygen, chromium forms an oxide film on the metal surface. This oxide film acts as a barrier, preventing further oxidation of the alloy. This explains why chromium is widely added to almost all high-temperature alloys.
The high chromium content in Inconel 601 ensures its oxidation resistance, especially at high temperatures, which is superior to Inconel 600.
The addition of aluminum also contributes to improving the alloy's oxidation resistance.
