c-276 UNS N10629 Hastelloy Metal Pipe
Hastelloy C-276 (Hastelloy) is a tungsten-containing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with extremely low silicon-carbon content and is considered a universal corrosion-resistant alloy. Mainly resistant to wet chlorine, various oxidizing chlorides, chloride salt solutions, sulfuric acid and oxidizing salts, and has good corrosion resistance in low and medium temperature hydrochloric acid. Therefore, in the past thirty years, it has been widely used in harsh corrosive environments, such as chemical industry, petrochemical industry, flue gas desulfurization, pulp and paper making, environmental protection and other industrial fields.
Hastelloy C-276 (US N10276 / W.Nr. 2.4819) is a very commonly used nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy. Among high-temperature alloys, it is famous for its high molybdenum content. First, as a corrosion-resistant element, Molybdenum brings a very high resistance to reductive corrosion to the alloy. In combination with nickel and chromium, Hastelloy C-276 has very good overall corrosion resistance. Compared to stainless steel, it has excellent resistance in chloride-containing solutions. The stress corrosion cracking performance is irreplaceable. Secondly, the solid solution strengthening effect of molybdenum and tungsten elements is very obvious, and they bring very high strength to Hastelloy C-276 alloy. Like other nickel alloys, Hastelloy C- 276 has good ductility. Easy to form and weld. Hastelloy C-276 alloy is well suited for gas fusion arc (GMA/ME), gas tungsten arc (thermocouple/TIG) and shielded metal arc (SMA/rod) welding processes . Hastelloy C-276 is well suited for marine applications. Its corrosion resistance makes it resistant to a variety of corrosive substances in flowing seawater for a long time. However, Hastelloy C-276 also has good overall properties at high temperatures. Very Suitable for preparation equipment of various corrosive chemicals or reactors for various acidic substances.
