Alloy Titanium Bar GR1 GR2 GR3 GR5
Alloy G3 (UNS N06985) is a cold-hardenable nickel-based alloy designed to resist corrosion in high-sour (H2S) environments with high chloride content, requiring high strength up to 400°F.
G3's high nickel and molybdenum content extends the acid service limits of nickel alloys while also providing excellent resistance to chloride and dissolved oxygen. Therefore, it can be used in downhole tubular assemblies, packers and other underground equipment in severely sour wells, brine injection wells and acid gas injection (AGI) wells under high pressure and high temperature (HPHT) conditions. However, all environmental factors including H2S, CO2, temperature, pH and chloride concentration should be considered before final material selection.
For sour service applications, it is classified as a Type 4d alloy in MR0175/ISO15156 with no limit on H2S partial pressure below 300°F and withstands 300 psi H2S at 425°F.
