For use in aircraft applications where strength is required but weight is a critical factor. Ti-3Al-2.5V is used in tubular form because it has proven to be more ductile than Ti-6-4 and has useful properties for hydraulic system applications. Ti-3Al-2.5V titanium tubes can be cold worked via standard tube manufacturing processes or supplied in the annealed condition. Other applications include bicycle and wheelchair frames.

Grade 2 Grade 5 Grade 7 Titanium Alloy Bar
Grade 7 titanium is mechanically and physically identical to grade 2 titanium, but the material has additional interstitial palladium added to the alloy. Grade 7 offers excellent weldability, workability, and is the most corrosion-resistant of all titanium alloys. Due to these properties, this material is frequently used in chemical production processes and in applications within production equipment.
