Zirconium tube is an alloy tubular material made of metal zirconium and other metals. Zirconium alloy has good corrosion resistance, moderate mechanical properties, low atomic thermal neutron absorption cross section (0.18 target for zirconium) and good compatibility with fuel in high temperature and high pressure water and steam at 300~400 ºC. Therefore, it can be used as core structural materials (fuel cladding, pressure pipe, support and duct pipe) of water-cooled reactors, which is the main use of zirconium alloy.
