UNS N02201
UNS N02201 is a commercially pure wrought nickel with good mechanical properties and excellent resistance to many corrosive agents. Nickel 201 has a low carbon content (up to 0.02%) and is suitable for applications above 315°C, primarily in food processing equipment, chemical transport drums, alkali handling equipment and piping, electronic parts, aerospace and missile components, rocket motor casings, magnetostrictive devices.

Product Introduction
UNS N02201 is a wrought commercially pure nickel with a maximum carbon content of 0.02%. This alloy has highly ductile mechanical properties over a wide temperature range. It is corrosion resistant in neutral to moderately reducing environments. UNS N02201 is ferromagnetic. It has higher thermal and electrical conductivity than nickel-based alloys, stainless steels, and low alloy steels.

Properties Of UNS N02201
- Good corrosion resistance to acids and bases, most useful under reducing conditions.
- Excellent corrosion resistance to alkaline bases, down to the molten state.
- In acidic, alkaline and neutral salt solutions, the material shows good corrosion resistance, but serious corrosion occurs in oxidizing salt solutions.
- Resistant to all dry gases at room temperature, serviceable up to 550C in dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride.
- Resistance to mineral acids varies with temperature and concentration and whether the solution is aerated. Better corrosion resistance in degassed acids.
- Almost unaffected by intergranular corrosion above 315C, chlorates must be kept to a minimum.
