SS316L welded polished pipe
GNEE Steel is a professional manufacturer and global exporter of SS316L welded polished pipe. 316L stainless steel pipes are usually divided into welded pipes and seamless pipes. As we all know, SS316L pipe is famous for its excellent resistance to grain boundary corrosion.
SS316 welded polished pipe is often compared with SS316L pipe, what are the differences between them:
316 and 316L SS316L welded polished pipe is molybdenum containing stainless steel material. The molybdenum content in 316L stainless steel is slightly higher than that of 316 stainless steel pipe. Since the steel contains molybdenum, the overall performance of this steel is better than that of 310 and 304 stainless steel. SS316 stainless steel has good chloride corrosion properties and is therefore commonly used in marine environments. SS316L stainless steel pipe has a maximum carbon content of 0.03 and can be used in applications where post-weld annealing is not possible and maximum corrosion resistance is required.
Heat resistance:
316 stainless steel pipe has good antioxidant properties when used intermittently below 1600 degrees and continuously used below 1700 degrees. In the range of 800-1575 degrees, it is best not to continuously act on 316 stainless steel pipes, but when 316 stainless steel pipes are used continuously outside this temperature range, stainless steel has good heat resistance. 316L stainless steel pipe has better resistance to carbide precipitation than 316 stainless steel pipe, and can be used in the above temperature range.
welding:
SS316 stainless steel pipe has good welding performance. All standard welding methods can be used for welding. The welded part of 316 stainless steel pipe needs to be annealed after welding. If 316L stainless steel pipe is used, post-weld annealing treatment is not required.
