Is Monel harder than stainless steel?

Corrosion Resistance: If the application involves exposure to highly corrosive environments such as salt water, acidic or alkaline solutions or chemicals, Monel may be a better choice due to its superior corrosion resistance. Stainless steel is also corrosion-resistant, but may not be suitable for extremely harsh environments.
Strength and Durability: If high tensile strength and durability are critical, stainless steel is a strong and durable material suitable for a variety of structural and load-bearing applications. Monel is also durable and, with a few special grades, generally has higher strength than stainless steel.
