Inconel 718 alloy strip property information

Inconel 718 strip is a precipitation-hardening nickel-based alloy known for its high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and good weldability, especially at elevated temperatures. In certain applications, it can maintain its mechanical properties up to 1300°F (704°C) and even up to 2000°F (1093°C). This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly in the aerospace, automotive, and oil and gas industries.

Can Inconel 718 alloy be hardened?

Alloy 718 is hardened by the precipitation of secondary phases (such as gamma and gamma duplex) within the metal matrix. These nickel (aluminum, titanium, and niobium) phases are precipitated by heat treating in the temperature range of 1100 to 1500°F (approximately 577 to 737°C).

About Gnee Steel

Gnee Steel specializes in the production of various nickel-based alloys. Gnee Steel's product packaging includes steel strapping: Pipes with an outer diameter of 3 inches or less are typically strapped together with polypropylene film to prevent rust during sea transportation, and then secured with steel strapping. Wooden boxes/crates: Pipes are typically packaged in wooden boxes or crates to protect them during transportation, especially those that are longer or have larger diameters. Seaworthy export packaging: Suppliers typically use standard seaworthy export packaging methods, which may include a variety of materials and techniques to protect the pipes during transportation. Tarpaulin packaging: This prevents rain, seawater, and other external factors from penetrating the export wooden crates during transportation. Gnee Steel specializes in the production and sale of alloy materials. Gnee Steel's products are widely used in aerospace, chemical, power, automotive, and nuclear energy industries, and we can provide customized alloy material solutions based on customer needs.
