Typical applications for MONEL K500, which offers high strength and corrosion resistance, are pump shafts, impellers, propeller shafts, valve components for ships and offshore drilling rigs, bolts, oil well drill collars, and instrumentation components for oil and gas production. Due to its high strength and low corrosion rate in high-speed seawater, it is particularly suitable for centrifugal pumps in the shipbuilding industry.
MONEL K500 is non-magnetic. MONEL K500 should be annealed during welding, and the stress should be relieved before aging of the weldment.

Monel K-500 (UNS N05500/DIN W.Nr. 2.4375/Alloy K-500) is a corrosion-resistant alloy with the largest dosage, the most widely used and excellent comprehensive properties. The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorine gas media as well as hot concentrated alkali solutions.
Monel K-500 is suitable for operating under the geological mining conditions of high-sulfur and high-wax oil reservoirs. Since this alloy has no plastic-to-brittle transition temperature, it is very suitable for various low-temperature equipment. Monel K-500 alloy not only has excellent mechanical properties such as high strength, corrosion resistance, and non-magnetism, but also has the same characteristics as Monel 400. Can be used as pump shaft material.
Hastelloy C is formed by adding Cr and W elements on the basis of Hastelloy B alloy. It is the compatibility and optimization of Ni-Cr alloy and Ni-Mo alloy, and can be used in both oxidizing and reducing media. Very good corrosion resistance and corrosion resistance. Resistant to localized corrosion, chloride stress corrosion cracking and seawater pore corrosion.
