Monel cold worked K500 Seamless Steel Pipe
Monel K500 cold rolled seamless pipe is a high-performance pipe made of nickel-copper alloy Monel K500, processed by cold rolling process, with excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. This alloy adds aluminum and titanium to Monel 400. After aging treatment, the strength, hardness and fatigue resistance are significantly improved, while retaining good resistance to seawater, acidic environment and high-temperature steam corrosion. The cold rolling process ensures high dimensional accuracy and smooth surface of the pipe, which is suitable for harsh environments such as marine engineering, petrochemical, aerospace and high-load mechanical parts, especially in scenes that require resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion and wear resistance.

Monel K-500 is used in a wide variety of demanding applications such as marine chains, cables, fasteners, and springs; chemical pump and valve components; pulp scrapers and blades; and oil well drill collars, instrumentation, pump shafts, and impellers. Its nonmagnetic properties are also valuable.

Monel K500 (UNS N05500) is an age-hardening nickel-copper alloy that is highly corrosion resistant and is particularly useful in marine, chemical, and oil well environments. It is certified to NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156 and API 6ACRA standards.
3. What is the maximum operating temperature for Monel K500?
Monel K500 maintains its mechanical properties at temperatures ranging from sub-zero to 480°C (896°F). Although it has a significantly higher melting point (1300-1350°C or 2372-2462°F) and a Curie temperature of 35°C (95°F), 480°C is the highest temperature at which mechanical properties are maintained.
