ASTM B386 Molybdenum Alloy
Molybdenum-lanthanum oxide (MoLa) alloy is an ODS molybdenum containing molybdenum and an array of very fine particles of lanthanum trioxide. Small amounts of lanthanum oxide particles (0.3% or 0.7%) give molybdenum a so-called stacked fiber structure. This special microstructure remains stable at temperatures up to 2000°C.
0.3 wt % Lanthanum Oxide > Considered an alternative to pure molybdenum but has a longer life due to its enhanced creep resistance
0.6 wt % Lanthanum Oxide > Standard doping level in the furnace industry, most popular
1.1 wt % Lanthanum Oxide > High resistance to warping
GNEE can mass produce molybdenum-lanthanum alloy plates, molybdenum-lanthanum alloy rods and various parts with a lanthanum oxide content of 0.3%-1.1%. Achievable dimensions and accuracy are the same as pure molybdenum products.
