Alloy C22, 2.4602, Hastelloy® C-22 – Description
Alloy C-22 (N06022) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy developed in 1985 to provide improved thermal stability over Alloy C-276 and improved resistance to chloride-induced localized corrosion and stress corrosion cracking over Alloy C-4. Recognizing that molybdenum and tungsten have opposite effects to chromium in reducing and oxidizing acidic environments, Alloy C-22 was developed with a balance of the two elements to provide good versatility in a wide range of corrosive environments.
