What is the difference between Incoloy 800 and Inconel 600?

What is the difference between the chemical composition of Incoloy 800 and Inconel 600?
‌Incoloy 800‌:
Nickel (Ni) content: 32-39%‌1
Chromium (Cr) content: 21-23%‌1
Iron (Fe) content: 0.75-1.25%‌1
Contains a small amount of copper (Cu), which enhances its anti-oxidation and anti-carburization properties at high temperatures‌
‌Inconel 600‌:
Nickel (Ni) content: about 72%‌
Chromium (Cr) content: 14-17%‌
Iron (Fe) content: 6-10%‌

What are the densities of Incoloy 800 and Inconel 600?
‌The density of Incoloy 800 is 8.0g/cm³, and the density of Inconel 600 is about 8.43~8.47g/cm³‌.

 Inconel 600

Temperature resistance
‌Incoloy 800‌ performs well in high temperature environments and can maintain its mechanical properties even at temperatures up to 816°C, making it particularly suitable for applications such as furnace components and heat treatment equipment. ‌
Although Inconel 600‌ also has impressive temperature resistance, its upper limit of the applicable temperature range is about 1095°C.

Corrosion resistance of Incoloy 800 and Inconel 600‌
‌Incoloy 800‌: ‌

High temperature resistance to oxidation and carburization‌: Incoloy 800 performs well at high temperatures, especially in terms of resistance to oxidation and carburization, making it a reliable choice in high temperature applications. ‌

Resistance to a variety of corrosive media‌: The alloy has better corrosion resistance than general austenitic stainless steels and better than Inconel 600 alloy. It has good corrosion resistance in aqueous corrosive conditions, oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts, but has limited corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. ‌
‌Inconel 600‌:
‌Resistant to acidic environments‌: Inconel 600 performs well in acidic environments, especially for corrosive substances such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, and is widely used in the chemical processing industry‌.
