What is the ASTM standard for incoloy 825?

Incoloy 825 (Nickel Alloy 825 or UNS N08825) is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper, and titanium. The alloy has a high nickel content, ranging from 38% to 46% nickel minimum, and contains small amounts of molybdenum, copper, and titanium, which give it excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive environments. It is similar to Alloy 800, but has improved resistance to aqueous corrosion. Alloy 825 is particularly resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acid corrosion.

Incoloy 825 Features
Density is 8.14 g/cm³, 0.294 lbs/in³, tensile strength is at least 586 MPa (85 Ksi), and yield strength is at least 241 MPa (35 Ksi). It has excellent corrosion resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, stress corrosion cracking, and localized corrosion such as pitting and crevice corrosion.

Incoloy 825 alloy exhibits improved overall performance in nuclear burner dissolvers that handle multiple corrosive media environments, such as mixed processing of sulfuric acid, nitric acid and sodium hydroxide in the same equipment.

Common Trade Names: Incoloy 825, Alloy 825, Nickelvac 825, Nicrofer 4241, UNS N08825, W.Nr. 2.4858

Applications of Incoloy 825 (Nickel Alloy 825, UNS N08825)
