Information you need to know about Inconel 601 plates
Inconel 601 alloy plate is a nickel-chromium alloy sheet known for its exceptional resistance to high-temperature oxidation, corrosion, and carburization, maintaining high strength and integrity at temperatures up to 2200°F (1200°C). Its key features include good mechanical properties at high temperatures, creep resistance, excellent weldability, and high mechanical strength, making it an ideal material for furnace components, heat treatment equipment, and petrochemical processing equipment.
What are the properties of Inconel 601?
A notable characteristic of INCONEL 601 alloy is its excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation. This alloy also possesses good resistance to aqueous corrosion, high mechanical strength, and is easily formed, machined, and welded.

Inconel 601 Plates
Inconel 601 plates are made from a nickel, chromium, and iron alloy. These plates are suitable for general engineering applications and are specifically designed for applications requiring heat and corrosion resistance. Inconel 601 plates also perform exceptionally well in aqueous environments containing hydrogen sulfide. This material exhibits high metallurgical stability and has a face-centered cubic solid solution structure. The alloy is nickel-based and contains a significant amount of chromium, giving it excellent resistance to various corrosive media and high-temperature conditions. The addition of aluminum further enhances its oxidation resistance.
The microstructure of Inconel 601 plates conforms to ASTM B516 standards. Due to their structural characteristics, these Inconel 601 plates exhibit high metallurgical stability. Inconel 601 is a nickel-based alloy containing chromium. All these components contribute to its good corrosion and high-temperature resistance.
Aluminum is added to Inconel 601 plates to improve their oxidation resistance. Inconel 601 plates are able to resist oxidation at extremely high temperatures. Similarly, this plate material can withstand repeated heating and cooling cycles. Due to the presence of chromium, the Inconel 601 material forms a strongly adherent oxide layer.
