Composition difference

Hastelloy C-276: It is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy containing elements such as tungsten, iron and cobalt, with extremely low silicon and carbon content.
Performance difference
Corrosion resistance:
Inconel 601: It has excellent high temperature corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, especially below 700℃. Hastelloy C-276: It has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidized and reduced states, and is particularly good at resisting pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
Heat resistance:
Inconel 601: It has good mechanical properties and carburization resistance at high temperatures, suitable for environments above 500℃. Hastelloy C-276: Although it also has a certain heat resistance, it mainly tends to be corrosion resistant and is generally not recommended for high temperature service.
Differences in application areas
Inconel Alloy 601: Suitable for high temperature environments, such as aerospace, and oxidation-resistant parts subjected to low loads below 700°C.
Hastelloy C-276: Widely used in various harsh environments, such as chemical processing, pollution control, pulp and paper production, industrial and municipal waste treatment, etc. .
