Inconel 718 Alloy Pipe Property Advantages

Inconel 718 alloy tubing offers high strength, resistance to creep, fatigue, and corrosion, maintaining its performance in environments ranging from sub-zero to high temperatures (approximately 650°C). It exhibits good weldability, resistance to post-weld cracking, high mechanical stability, and is non-magnetic and spark-resistant in its standard state. Its ability to maintain integrity in demanding, high-stress environments makes it an ideal choice for industries such as aerospace, oil and gas, and power generation.

What are the advantages of Inconel 718?

Inconel 718 is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel-based superalloy. It offers excellent mechanical properties, high-temperature strength, and resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Inconel 718 is widely used in various industries, including aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, and power generation.

Advantages of Inconel 718 Pipe

Inconel 718 pipe exhibits strong creep rupture properties, extremely high yield strength, and high tensile strength. Nickel is the primary component of Inconel 718 pipe. These pipes are suitable for applications requiring extremely high yield strength, tensile strength, and strong creep rupture properties.
Inconel 718 pipe offers excellent resistance to chloride, high temperatures, and sulfide stress corrosion cracking. Pipes made from Inconel 718 do not corrode in water and do not crack even when attacked by chloride ions.
Due to its delayed response characteristics, the alloy can be aged during annealing without cracking. In addition to its excellent weldability, the material effectively resists post-weld cracking.
In addition to increasing the alloy's stiffness, molybdenum provides high strength without the need for heat treatment. The addition of aluminum and titanium to nickel-chromium alloys improves the alloy's toughness.

Inconel 718 Pipe Specifications

Inconel 718 pipe conforms to various standards, such as ASTM B163/ASME SB163 and ASTM B516/ASME SB516.
The outer diameter of seamless pipe ranges from 3.35 mm to 101.6 mm, while the outer diameter of welded pipe ranges from 6.35 mm to 152 mm.
These pipes are available in various types, including polished, annealed and pickled, bright annealed, and medium frequency annealed.
The pipe alloy types include seamless, EFW, EFW, welded, and fabricated pipes, and are available in a variety of forms, including U-bends, hollow tubes, hydraulic, LSAW, boiler tubes, straight tubes, coils, round, rectangular, and square shapes.
