Inconel 625 seamless pipe (melting point between 1290°C and 1350°C)

Inconel 625 seamless pipe is a high-performance material based on nickel-chromium alloy, designed for applications under extreme conditions.

Inconel 625 seamless pipe material characteristics:
Chemical composition: Inconel 625 seamless pipe is mainly composed of nickel (about 60%), chromium (about 22%), molybdenum (about 9%), niobium (about 3%) and a small amount of iron, carbon, silicon, manganese and other elements. The addition of molybdenum and niobium greatly enhances the solid solution strengthening effect of the alloy, improves its high temperature performance and corrosion resistance.

Physical properties: The density is about 8.4 g/cm³, and the melting point is between 1290°C and 1350°C. This alloy has good thermal conductivity and a low thermal expansion coefficient, which helps to maintain dimensional stability in environments with large temperature fluctuations.

Inconel 625 alloy pipe temperature resistance:
Inconel 625 seamless pipe can maintain its excellent mechanical properties in a wide temperature range, from low temperature to about 980°C, and can show good tensile strength, fatigue strength and creep strength.

Corrosion resistance:
The alloy has strong resistance to a variety of corrosive media, including inorganic acids, alkaline solutions, seawater, salt spray, and various oxidizing and reducing media. Especially in chloride environments, its ability to resist pitting, crevice corrosion, intergranular corrosion and erosion is particularly outstanding.

Mechanical properties:
At room temperature, the tensile strength of Inconel 625 seamless pipe exceeds 760 MPa, the yield strength is about 410 MPa, and it has a high elongation, ensuring its plasticity and ductility under high temperature and high stress conditions.

 Inconel 625 pipe application field:
Inconel 625 in the form of seamless pipe is widely used in aerospace, chemical, oil and gas, marine engineering, nuclear energy and thermal power generation industries. Specific applications include but are not limited to:

Aerospace: jet engine components, heat exchanger tubes, combustion chamber components.

Chemical industry: pipelines, reactors and containers that handle high temperature, high pressure and highly corrosive media.

Marine engineering: submarine pipelines, platform structures, desalination equipment.

Nuclear energy: nuclear reactor cooling system components, fuel element cladding.

Oil and gas: drilling equipment, downhole tools, transmission pipelines.

Inconel 625 steel pipe manufacturing process:

Inconel 625 seamless pipe is usually manufactured by extrusion or perforation plus drawing process, which ensures that there is no weld inside the pipe, thereby improving reliability under high pressure and high temperature conditions.
