Inconel 600 welding rod is a nickel-based alloy with excellent high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in aviation, chemical industry, electric power and other fields, especially in structural parts and key parts under high temperature environment. Its main features are good welding performance and heat resistance, and it can withstand high temperatures up to 1000°C.
Welding performance of Inconel 600
Inconel 600 has excellent weldability and is suitable for a variety of welding methods, including TIG welding, MIG welding and arc welding. Its welding performance is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
Welding heat affected zone: Due to the alloy composition of Inconel 600, the heat affected zone (HAZ) generated during welding can maintain high strength and corrosion resistance, reducing cracks and weakened areas generated after welding.
Low tendency of welding hot cracking: Due to its good oxidation resistance and thermal stability, Inconel 600 has a low tendency of hot cracking during welding, so the welded joints are usually stronger.
Post-welding treatment: After welding, Inconel 600 usually requires appropriate heat treatment to eliminate residual stress and improve its corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
Welding process parameters of Inconel 600
In the actual welding process, in order to ensure the welding quality, the selection of welding parameters is particularly critical. The following are common welding parameter references: Welding current: When TIG welding, the current range is 100-200A.
Welding speed: Depending on the thickness of the welded joint, the welding speed is generally 3-5mm/s.
Heat input: The heat input is controlled between 200-400J/mm to avoid excessive heat affected zone of welding.
