Nickel alloy 600 (Inconel 600) and 625 alloy (Inconel 625) tubes are high-performance nickel-chromium alloy tubes, primarily differing in composition and corrosion resistance/strength. 600 alloy tubes offer excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance (up to 2000°F), making them ideal for heat exchangers; while 625 alloy square tubes, with the addition of molybdenum, exhibit superior strength, creep resistance, and corrosion resistance in marine/chemical applications, with a maximum operating temperature of 1800°F. Due to the addition of molybdenum and controlled manganese content, 625 alloy seamless tubes possess better creep strength, fatigue strength, and tensile strength, making them more suitable than the more basic, high-temperature-focused 600 alloy round tubes for applications requiring extreme corrosion resistance and high strength.
