What is the difference between HC 276 and HC 22?
Hastelloy C276 and C22 are both high-performance nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, but their different compositions lead to different properties. Hastelloy C276 has a higher nickel content and a lower chromium content than Hastelloy C22.

Standards and Material Specifications
Standards: The standard specification for these pipes is ASTM B622, which covers seamless nickel and nickel-cobalt alloy pipe.
Condition: Pipes should be supplied in the solution annealed and descaled condition unless a controlled atmosphere process is used during the heat treatment.
Dimensions: While the standard includes a table of optional dimensions, other dimensions are possible and are typically custom-made in accordance with ASME B36.10 and ASME B36.19.
Dimensional Tolerances: Dimensional tolerances are specified in ASTM B829.

Composition: Austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy, UNS Number: N06022.
Corrosion Resistance: Excellent corrosion resistance to both oxidizing and non-oxidizing media, especially in chloride-containing environments. It also resists oxidizing acid chlorides, wet chlorine, and various acids.
Versatility: Performs well in both reducing and oxidizing environments, benefiting multi-purpose plants.
Mechanical Properties: High ductility and excellent weldability for ease of fabrication. It is solution-strengthened and can be further strengthened by cold working.
Heat Resistance: Maintains integrity at elevated temperatures and exhibits strong oxidation resistance.
Non-Heat-Treable: Cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, but can be strengthened by cold working.
