Machinable Inconel 718 Metal Bar
Machinable Inconel 718 bar is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy bar optimized by special heat treatment, designed for improved machinability. Its composition (Ni-52.5%, Cr-19%, Nb+Ta-5.1%) combined with solid solution + aging treatment (ASTM B637 standard) significantly reduces the tendency of work hardening while retaining the original high strength (tensile strength ≥1275MPa) and high temperature resistance (-253℃ to 705℃) of 718 alloy. The bar is available in two forms (Φ5mm~300mm), with a lathe or polished surface, suitable for CNC turning, milling and drilling, and the tool life can be increased by 30%-50%. It is typically used in the mass production of aircraft engine components, oil drilling tools and precision parts for the nuclear industry. After processing, it can meet the AMS 5663 performance requirements without secondary heat treatment.
