Gnee Steel is a manufacturer and distributor of ASTM B446 Inconel 625 round bars that can be processed in both hot worked and annealed conditions. When forging ASTM B446 Inconel 625 bars, a low sulfur reducing furnace atmosphere should be used. Meanwhile, major hot working of ASTM B446 Inconel 625 bars should be performed between 2300 degrees Fahrenheit/1850 degrees Celsius, while light working can be performed at temperatures as low as 1600 degrees Fahrenheit. However, hot working in the 1600 degrees Fahrenheit/1200 degrees Celsius range should not be performed due to poor ductility. Due to the large amount of heat generated when machining ASME SB446 Alloy 625 bars, high speed steel, cast nonferrous metal, or carbide tools should be used. Tools should be kept sharp.
