N S Hastelloy Metal Pipe
Hastelloy N alloy is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy material used in molten salt reactors. It has excellent corrosion resistance, resistance to neutron radiation and good high-temperature mechanical properties. However, the reactor outlet temperature reached 750°C, exceeding the allowable temperature of Hastelloy N alloy of 704°C, which means that the alloy cannot operate stably in a 750°C molten salt environment for a long time. Therefore, there is an urgent need to optimize Hastelloy N alloy to meet the requirements of higher temperature molten salt reactors.
Hastelloy S (also known as Alloy S), designated UNS N06635, is a nickel-based alloy with excellent thermal stability, low thermal expansion and oxidation resistance at 1095 °C [2000 °F]. Retains strength and ductility after aging at 425 to 870 °C [800 to 1600 °F]. Hastelloy S is primarily used in applications involving severe cyclic heating conditions where components must maintain strength, ductility and metallurgical integrity after prolonged exposure, and is widely used as seals in gas turbine engines where its low coefficient of thermal expansion also Very important.
Hastelloy S is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy composed of nickel, molybdenum, chromium, cobalt and other elements. Hastelloy S alloy has a nickel content of approximately 62%. Hastelloy S is a highly heat-resistant nickel-based alloy with excellent thermal stability, high thermomechanical properties, oxidation resistance and temperatures up to 2000 °f (1093 °C). With simple heat treatment, Hastelloy S will exhibit high heat resistance and thermal fatigue strength.
