Hastelloy C22 flanges are a low-cost flanges that is a popular choice in the pipeline industry. These flanges slide easily into the pipe and are secured in place by welding. Hastelloy C22 blind flanges have no hub and a drilled center. In many piping systems, these flanges are used to stop flow. They can also be used to clean the pipes if the pipe is secured. High-pressure systems often use Hastelloy C22 welded flanges. These flanges feature a long protruding neck that provides support for the pipes when pressure or temperature increases. Uses of Hastelloy C22 Flanges
Hastelloy C22 flanges are used in a variety of applications such as chemical processing, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and offshore engineering. Made from a super alloy that is extremely resistant to corrosion and oxidation, these flanges are ideal for these environments. They also have excellent resistance to crevice corrosion and superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking, making them ideal for demanding applications.
Difference between Hastelloy C22 flanges and C276
The main difference between Hastelloy C22 flanges and C276 is the material composition. Hastelloy C22 has a higher chromium content (26%) than Hastelloy C276 (24%), making it more resistant to corrosion and oxidation. Hastelloy C22 contains molybdenum and tungsten, which increase its strength and resistance to pitting, stress cracking and crevice corrosion.
