Inconel 600 plate is a high-nickel-chromium iron alloy (UNS N06600) known for its excellent strength and corrosion resistance, suitable for use in a wide range of environments, from cryogenic to high temperatures (up to 2000°F or 1093°C). Its key properties include non-magnetic properties, good machinability, and weldability. It is resistant to reducing environments, mildly oxidizing environments, and chloride stress corrosion cracking. Common applications include chemical processing, heat treating, and nuclear equipment.

How high a temperature can Inconel alloy 600 withstand?
The hot working temperature range for Inconel alloy 600 is 1600–2250°F (870–1230°C). High-intensity working requires temperatures between 1900–2250°F (1040–1230°C), while light working can be performed at temperatures as low as 1600°F (870°C).
