Hastelloy alloy C4, also known as Hastelloy C4, is an austenitic low carbon nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy. The main feature of this alloy is the low carbon, silicon, iron, tungsten content in its chemical composition, with the addition of the stabilizing element titanium. This chemical composition makes Hastelloy C4 extremely stable in the temperature range of 650-1040°C.
Internationally, the US brand name of Hastelloy C4 is UNS N06455, while in Germany, its brand name is W.Nr.2.4610. Due to its excellent high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, this alloy is often used in equipment manufacturing in the chemical, aviation, energy and other industries, especially in applications that require resistance to strong acids, strong alkalis or other extremely corrosive environments.
