Introduction to the performance characteristics of N06686 high temperature alloy
N06686 alloy, also known as Inconel 686 alloy. It is a nickel-based alloy with high temperature, high strength and high corrosion resistance. It is mainly composed of elements such as nickel, chromium, molybdenum and ferromolybdenum.
1. Alloy characteristics
High temperature strength: N06686 alloy has excellent high temperature strength and can maintain good mechanical properties in high temperature environments.
Corrosion resistance: N06686 alloy exhibits corrosion resistance in acidic, alkaline and chlorinated environments and can effectively resist acid corrosion, corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
Oxidation resistance: N06686 alloy can form a dense oxide layer at high temperatures, effectively preventing oxidation and corrosion.
High temperature stability: N06686 alloy has good stability in high temperature environments and is not prone to phase change and creep.
2. Process performance and requirements
Thermal processing
1. Thermal processing temperature is 1200-900℃, and the cooling method is water quenching or rapid air cooling.
2. Good corrosion resistance and suitable ZI crystal structure are obtained, and heat treatment is required after heat processing.
3. Materials can be fed directly into the heating furnace.
Cold working
1. Cold worked materials should be annealed or solution heat treated. The work hardening rate of 686 alloy is close to that of austenitic stainless steel, so similar processing equipment can be selected.
2. Intermediate annealing should be performed during cold working.
3. When the cold working amount is greater than 5%, the workpiece needs to be solution treated.
4. In order to reduce material wear, the mold should be made of alloy tool steel, carbide or cast steel.
3. Application
N06686 superalloy performs well in high-temperature environments, maintaining its strength at temperatures up to 1200°C, and has excellent creep resistance and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in various high-temperature environments, such as aerospace engines, gas turbines, chemical industries and automobiles.
In the aviation field, N06686 high-temperature alloy is widely used to manufacture parts for aircraft engines and combustion chambers. N06686 high temperature alloy has become one of the indispensable materials in the aviation field due to its excellent high temperature resistance and creep resistance.
In the chemical industry, it is used to manufacture high-temperature equipment such as reactors and heaters, where it can maintain good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.
In short, N06686 superalloy is a nickel-based alloy material with excellent high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. It performs well in high-temperature environments and is widely used in aviation, gas turbines, chemicals, and automobiles.
