Gh4169 High Temperature Alloy Forged Rod For Aerospace

For engineers manufacturing turbine discs, engine shafts, or large structural rings, GH4169 (equivalent to Alloy 718) forged bars represent a high-risk investment. The biggest pain point in the industry is centerline porosity and internal voids.

Risk: You invest thousands of dollars in material and hundreds of hours of machining time, only to discover a center crack or "freckle"-like segregation during final precision machining. The result? Loss of material, time, and project schedule.

At Gnee Alloy, we eliminate this risk factor. As a Tier 1 manufacturer, Gnee Alloy focuses on heavy-duty forgings and offers a 100% guarantee of internal integrity.

Gh4169 High Temperature Alloy Forged Rod for Aerospace

GH4169 round bar is a high-quality nickel-chromium-iron-based precipitation-hardening forged nickel-based superalloy bar (equivalent to Inconel 718) designed for high-performance aerospace applications. It exhibits excellent tensile strength, fatigue strength, and creep strength over a temperature range of -253°C to 650°C (short-term up to 800°C). Forged bars are widely used in critical, high-stress, high-temperature components of aircraft engines.

What is the composition of GH4169 alloy?

The chemical composition of GH4169 alloy is as follows: Ni 53.44%, Cr 18.56%, Mo 3.02%, Nb 5.3%, Al 0.44%, Ti 1.04%, C 0.026%, P 0.005%, S 0.001%, B 0.002%, Fe balance (wt.%).

FAQ

Q1: How do you prevent "Freckles" (Segregation) in 400mm bars?
A: "Freckles" are a result of poor VAR solidification. We use advanced computer-controlled Vacuum Arc Remelting to strictly manage the pool depth and cooling rate, ensuring a perfectly homogeneous microstructure across the entire 450mm diameter.

Q2: Is GH4169 interchangeable with Inconel 718 for large shafts?
A: Yes. GH4169 is the technical equivalent of Inconel 718. Our forged bars meet and often exceed AMS 5662 and ASTM B637 requirements, making them globally interchangeable for critical parts.

Q3: Do you offer "Near-Net Shape" forged rings?
A: Absolutely. In addition to round bars, our Custom Fabrication shop can forge GH4169 into rings and discs to your exact dimensions, saving you up to 30% in machining costs.

Q4: What is the Straightness tolerance for your large forged rods?
A: We provide rough machined rods with straightness tolerances of ≤ 1.0mm/m, ensuring stable CNC setup for heavy shafts.
