Welding performance: Although the welding performance of C-22 alloy is excellent, correct process measures need to be taken during the welding process to meet relevant standard requirements. This means that the welding process can be more complex and demanding than with some other types of alloys.Resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion: Although C-22 alloy has improved corrosion resistance to oxidizing media, it has not been significantly improved in resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion. This may limit its application in some specific environments. Cost issue: Because C-22 alloy contains a higher proportion of nickel, chromium and molybdenum, the higher cost of these elements may result in the overall cost of C-22 alloy being relatively high. Machining Difficulty: C-22 alloy can be difficult to machine, especially when forming complex shapes or precision machining.Weight issue: Nickel-based alloys are typically heavy compared to other types of materials, which may impact their use in weight-sensitive areas such as aerospace.
