Hastelloy X flanges are excellent at forming and welding. While Alloy X is primarily known for its heat and oxidation resistance, these flanges also have good resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Its corrosion resistance to SCC means these ASTM B564 UNS N06002 flanges are a very valuable asset in the petrochemical industry, where alloys need to combine high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
