ALLOY400 is a single-phase solid solution nickel-copper alloy with excellent corrosion resistance to a variety of media.
• Corrosion resistant in various marine and chemical environments
• Avoid chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking
• Good mechanical properties from subzero temperatures to approximately 550 °C (1020 °F)
• Approved for use in pressure vessels with wall temperatures from -10 to 425 °C (14 to 800 °F) according to VdTUV-Wbl. 263 to 480 °C (900 °F) per ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

403 501 Monel Metal Tubing
K403 alloy is added with about 9% W and Mo, and is combined with about 5% Co for comprehensive solid solution strengthening. On the basis of sufficient solid solution strengthening of the alloy, about 8% Al+Ti is used for precipitation strengthening, so that the amount of Y: phase reaches 58% ~ 59%. At the same time, trace amounts of B, Zr and Ce are used for grain boundary strengthening, so it has higher high temperature strength. Compared with similar nickel-based alloys, the cobalt content is lower, only about 5%, which is generally 5% to 10% lower. At the same time, it does not contain precious metal elements and is cheaper. However, K403 alloy has low Cr content and poor oxidation resistance and hot corrosion resistance, so K403 alloy blades need to use protective coatings.
