What is the UNS N07718 specification?
Nickel Alloy 718 (INCONEL 718) | UNS# N07718
Nickel Alloy 718 (UNS# N07718) or Inconel 718 is a precipitation hardened nickel-chromium alloy containing molybdenum, iron, niobium and small amounts of aluminum and titanium. Designed to exhibit significant yield strength, high strength, good ductility, and creep-rupture properties up to 1300°F (704°C). These properties give Alloy 718 good formability, weldability, and cryogenic margins compared to other nickel-base high-temperature alloys. The slow age-hardening properties of Alloy 718 also allow for annealing and welding during heating and cooling without spontaneous hardening. This alloy is also non-magnetic and has significant corrosion and oxidation resistance, allowing it to be used in applications such as jet engines, airframe components, and high-temperature bolts and fasteners.
